C.C. Jentsch Small Lot Series Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaA good example of how hard it is to grow cabernet sauvignon and get it physiologically ripe, even in the sun-drenched desert scrub of southern Okanagan. Dried herbs, green olives and tart cherries mark the nose and palate. The attack is dry and the tannins drier, with spiced cedar, black cherries and winter fresh acidity. Time will help this wine in the bottle, but it is a bit too green for us currently. Best now with grilled lamb or pork.Tasted: 06 September 2016Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Treve RingPrices:BC | $49.90 | 750ml | winery direct, VQA and private wine shops |
