LaStella La Sophia 2013

Osoyoos, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe nose is a bit of a surprise showing a baked raisiny character that dominates the bouquet. Big and bold with ripe, plush tannins and some underlying freshness, it's hard to get by the port-like fruit. I want to like this wine but it is a bit too much of everything at this point including some persistent tannin and leather in the back end. There’s a bit of Cahors here that likely won’t dissipate. Serve with roasted meats.Tasted: 09 December 2016Tasted by: Prices:
