Beamsville Bench, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, CanadaThis Beamsville Bench chardonnay is generous in mouthfeel, but linear and precise in motion, with mineral, pithy drive from tip to tail. Whole bunch pressed, with wild yeast ferment into French barrels, this organically farmed, fuller white has complexity in spades. Earthy lees, wild herbs and subtle hazelnuts lead, layered with ripe pear, pear skin and salted lemon curd to a lingering, flint-flecked finish.
