Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaImpressive meaty, squid ink nose leads to a medium/rich palate awash in raspberry and cherries. The textures are youthful with grippy tannins, cloaked in medicinal-scented tobacco and long lingering cloves. A strong vein of acidity counters the fruit pushing through a dense, sweet fruited, warm finish. Seventeen months in French and American oak barrels, plus the sun density of the Golden Mile Bench provides structure that will reward with a few years in the cellar.
