Blue Mountain Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaTwo French clones and nine-year-old estate vines were whole cluster pressed before a wild ferment and aging on the lees (3/4 stainless and the remainder in oak). Lemon thistle, meadow grasses, gooseberry and smoked salts dominate the complexed, laden body, an amazing feat at 11.5 percent alcohol. Precise lemon pith acidity buoys the whole through a finely spicy, medicinal finish. Love the quality statement here. Perfect with west coast mussels.Tasted: 22 August 2016Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Treve RingPrices: BC 18.90 winery direct, private retail, restaurants AB 24.95 private wine shops Producer: Blue Mountain Vineyard & CellarsDistributors: Keystone Fine Wines
