Stag's Hollow Albarino Shuttleworth Creek Vineyard 2015
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaWe were impressed with the elegance of this the floral peach nose and the dry mineral palate with its savoury undercurrent. We like the energy here and for the first release it is impressive. The fruit came in on two different days from Shuttleworth Creek Vineyard in Okanagan Falls. It was all hand-picked and sorted. The juice is cold settled for 72 hours before yeast inoculation. One lot went into stainless steel and fermented the other went into 2nd year French oak; the proportion in the blend is 75/25 respectively. Both were aged on their lees for 2 months and stirred periodically.
