Catena Malbec Mountain Vines 2014
Mendoza, ArgentinaSoft and fleshy perfumed blackcurrant flows throughout this full wine, freshened by four mountain foothill vineyards. Plush violets, cassis and plum rest on a velvet cushion supported by a solid wood frame. Bitter dark cocoa hangs on the finish. Extraction is potent, but the ripe fruit can pretty much take it on.
