Clare Valley, South Australia, AustraliaIn case you’ve never understood the descriptor of a "freshly opened can of tennis balls" (courtesy of Somm, the movie), you’ll want to try this Clare Valley Riesling. It’s quite evolved on the nose, with petrol, lime peel, and well, tennis ball. It sounds a little off-putting and, frankly, the nose is a bit out there. But the palate is much more classic and youthful, with zesty lime and wax. I wouldn’t age this longer, but it’s worth exploring.Tasted: 11 January 2020Tasted by: Prices:

Clare Valley, South Australia, AustraliaClassic Clare, Watervale to be more specific. It’s all handpicked and all free-run juice fermented and left on its lees for five months. The style is fresh, bright and exuberant with a touch of talcum powder. The attack is creamy, with mouth-watering, limey pear fruit. The finish is long and linear with some stony mineral highlights. Delicious wine you can serve with most anything including Indian and Thai dishes.Tasted: 14 June 2016Tasted by: Prices:
