Giusti Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 2011
Pedemonte Valpolicella, Verona, Veneto, ItalyFor a giant of a wine the nose is surprisingly perfumed and aromatic with bright red fruits. The flavours are more lifted, if not on volatile, with dried plums and raisins dominating. The palate is dense and spicy with a long powerful warm finish. It is all Amarone and young It’s going to need some bottle ageing to smooth pout the edges. Drink after 2020 with mature cheeses.Tasted: 01 June 2016Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $105.99 | 750ml | speculative listing - Vintage Trade |
