Damilano Lecinquevigne Barolo 2010

Langhe, Cuneo, Piedmont, ItalyLecinquevigne is a blend of nebbiolo from five sites grown in the calcareous-clay soils several Barolo regions: Barolo. Grinzane Cavour, Monforte and Novello. The vines are 30 to 50 years old and you can feel the depth of their roots in the wine. The colour is pale red with orange highlights, the nose classic violets with earthy, cherry/tobacco, orange, leather licorice/cedar flavours. At six years old there is still some tannin dryness in the long, persistent finish to disperse. You can cellar this another three to four years or serve now with mushrooms, grilled beef or roasted chicken.Tasted: 02 June 2016Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
