Synchromesh Cachola Family Vineyards Cabernet Franc Rosé 2015

Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis is the first rosé from Synchromesh in a few years; the last incarnation was pinot noir grapes. This, cabernet franc, was whole cluster wild ferment from selected blocks, without stems or crushing. Pours a beauty pale orange, a result of sixteen hours spent on the lees. Big earthy, funky, franc-y nose followed by subtle Bing cherry, red currant and thorny herbal freshness, this finishes with green peppercorns, salt and a kiss of orange. A slim cushion of lees on the middle and on the corners, a result of three months rest in barrel. Bone dry, biscuity and 11.3 percent alcohol, this is a savoury style for adventuresome rosé drinkers.Tasted: 27 May 2016Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
