Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis popular white blend throws a curve ball at the typical BC aromatic white blends with the addition of chasselas, rarely seen outside of Switzerland, let alone BC. Along with pinot blanc and pinot gris this is whole bunch pressed and fermented in stainless before the final blend is assembled. A fruit salad scented with lemon blossoms, gooseberry and tangerine. Round and a blousy on the palate, this finishes with a zippy bitter apricot note.Tasted: 21 June 2016Tasted by: Prices:
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaOne of the juicy, fun, gulpable whites that comes out of Quails’ Gate. The blend is mix of chasselas/pinot blanc/pinot gris all hand harvested, whole bunch pressed, cold fermented in stainless steel tanks and then fermented separately. Plenty of orchard fruit flavours a squeeze of lime rind and there is even some mysterious wet stone minerality in the finish. Some times the simple stuff is the best. Fish tacos, sushi, or a Margherita pizza. Good value.Tasted: 09 May 2016Tasted by: Prices:
