Mission Hill Terroir Collection No. 21 Splitrail Merlot 2012

Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFinally, a year with a more fruit than dry tannins. The nose is a mix of oak and fruit with spicy, licorice, smoky, tobacco, chocolate aromas. The attack is similar with coffee, savoury, tobacco black cherry fruit with cedar-y balsamic notes. The fruit makes this style more appealing but a little juicier fruit and softer textures would set this merlot free. Especially for the price. Serve with roasted meats or cellar for five years. This will improve in the bottle.Tasted: 06 April 2016Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
