Heartland Shiraz 2013
Langhorne Creek, South Australia, AustraliaIt’s been a while since we last tasted this wine but we are impressed with the 2013. The nose is clean and fresh; unabashed Oz shiraz. The Langhorne Creek site is a mix of sandy loam that seems to pump up the black fruit flecked with licorice and pepper. Blackberry fruit coats the palate with more peppery, menthol, chalky, tobacco notes. A classic shiraz that calls for a piece of grilled lamb. Good value.Tasted: 26 April 2016Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $21.49 | 750ml | BCLS |
