Bella Cavada Gamay Rosé Brut 2015
Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe first Naramata fruit Bella has worked with, this Vineyard Series gamay fizz is from Cavada vineyard, at the far end of Naramata Bench and neglected in recent years. It is now being converted tenderly to organic viticulture. This pours a very pale pink grapefruit hue, with slight turbidity. Rainier cherry, delicate apple blossom and a wild strawberry leaf herbaceousness sit on the palate with an airy lightness, anchored with a fine downy riff of tannin finishing with candied red liquorice notes and a kiss of cinnamon.
