Gallipoli Peninsula (Marmara) (Thracian) Region, TurkeyFrom Turkey's Gallipoli Peninsula, this is a blend of sémillon, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, roussanne, marsanne and one you may not know: kigali yapincak. Dry, salted almond and hay aromas preview a medium/light palate, where green fig, subtle quince before mineral, salty, almond notes take over. Crisp and bone dry, with just a sheen of oily sémillon on the palate. Complex and well priced it should make welcome pours for all manners of local seafood (hello halibut).
