Narrative Fortified Small Batch by Okanagan Crush Pad NV
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaChief winemaker, Matt Dumayne has taken some Okanagan merlot and syrah fermented in concrete and then somewhere near the middle of the ferment fortified the lot with some OCP grape spirits distilled on site, and aged for two years in neutral oak. The nose is more fresh than fortified with peppery, fruity notes. The attack is smooth but super spirity showing more parts than the whole picture. The attack is long and warm with a big spicy finish.
