Napa Valley, California, United StatesStature is the pinnacle of Kendall-Jackson winemaking and the vision of winemaker Randy Ullom. Cold-soaked for 4 days and fermented for 16 days the cabernet is super pure reflecting its origins in the volcanic and rocky hills and ridges high above the floors of the Alexander Valley and Knights Valley. The 2012 Stature is a 94/6 cabernet sauvignon and petit verdot pulled from the Alexander Valley (55%) and Knights Valley (45%) that gets the full Monty: 24 months in 91% French barriques of which 71 percent new. But forget all that this wine is a blockbuster California cabernet sauvignon where liquid, blueberry juice mix with spicy/licorice and mineral notes all supported by fine dense tannins.
