Escorihuela 1884 Estate Grown Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

Mendoza, ArgentinaThe thing about Argentine cabernet sauvignon is the fruit ripens most years giving you a base of bright blueberry/cassis fruit aromas and flavours that are remarkable for the price. The wine spends some eight months in 100 percent French oak to further soften the edges of what is a round, savoury, red you can serve around the barbecue all summer. Miguel Escorihuela emigrated from Spain to Mendoza, Argentina in 1880 where he established Bodegas Escorihuela still in business today.Tasted: 15 March 2016Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
