Torre Fosca Brunello di Montalcino 2010
Montalcino, Siena, Tuscany, ItalyGamey, smoky, black berry, leather, licorice, savoury, tobacco aromas with a bit of resin and garrigue spice. Dry, tight, full palate with light grainy tannins and juicy acidity. Black cherry, earthy, ash, licorice, plum, and tobacco flavours with a touch of leather and chocolate with thyme on the finish. Youthful but restrained style with fruit that should improve over the next 2-4 years. Not a big wine but balanced for food. Good value for Brunello.Tasted: 10 February 2016Tasted by: Stuart TobePrices:BC | $41.99 | 750ml | speculative listing - Empson Canada |
