Argentiera Bolgheri Superiore 2010
Tuscany, ItalyThis Bolgheri red is a 45/45/10 mix of cabernet sauvignon, merlot and cabernet franc. The colour is deep, the nose a savoury, menthol, balsamic mix with floral notes. Identical palate impressions with dry red fruits with mineral and spicy notes flecked with roasted nuts and mushrooms. The blend is aged in mostly new French oak barriques for 18 months and then aged another year in bottle. It is a bit of a bruiser that needs more time in the bottle or a piece of grilled beef to soften the ages.Tasted: 10 February 2016Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:QC | $65.50 | 750ml | SAQ |
