Nielson by Byron Chardonnay 2014
Santa Barbara County, Central Coast, California, United StatesThis was a delicious crisp tropical style chardonnay with ripe orange, mineral, apple skin, spicy lees nose followed by full intense flavours of peaches, fig, honey and brown spice all with a twist of citrus and minerality. Creamy round with some toasted lees notes this is a showy pre-dinner sipper. Nielson by Byron is the next iteration of Byron Wines. To honour the area’s first true pioneer Uriel Nielson who planted the first commercial vineyard in 1964. Most of the Byron wines will now be created under the Nielson label.
