Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaSavoury, smoky, cranberry, prune, wet tobacco, earthy, vanilla and light chocolate aromas. Fresh, juicy, elegant palate with light, grainy tannins. Coffee, chocolate, vanilla, dried herb, peppery, cassis, cranberry, licorice and bay leaf flavours. Finish has lots of chocolate and tea leaf with an orange peel and roast beef note. Rounder than last vintage with fine intensity but it’s youthful and will need another two to four years in bottle to settle in. The blend 41/30/18/8/3/ merlot, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, malbec and petit verdot aged in French oak barrels and puncheons for 19 months. The fruit is sourced from three Naramata Bench sites and from the Perfect Hedge Vineyard in Osoyoos.Tasted: 06 January 2016Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
