Emilia-Romagna, ItalyVilla Papiano Le Papesse di Papiano’s is a sangiovese fermented and aged in stainless steel and blended with small amounts of balsamina an autochthonous variety. The organic vineyard is a mix of sandstone with seams of clay that resides at 400 metres above sea level next door to the Chianti Rufina region on the Tuscan side of the hills. Expect a smooth fragrant fruity mineral sangiovese with bits of spice and dried herbs mixed into cherries and plums.
