Champagne, FrancePrice will draw a number of folks to this wine a 75/25 mix of pinot noir and chardonnay. I’m not sure we had the best bottle, at least on the nose, which was showing damp earth, wine cellar and mushroom notes Perhaps it was simply reflecting its pinot noir dominance. In any event the style is austere; the finish is much brighter than the start with super dry citrus fruit atop mineral/chalky undertones.
