Champagne Taittinger Prestige Rosé NV

Champagne, FranceThis deeper hued rosé is a blend of 30% chardonnay, 20% Pinot Meunier, and the remaining pinot noir from 36 crus, including 15% still wine from Ambonnay, Bouzy, and Riceys. The bottling employs 30% reserve wines, and was disgorged with 9 g/L. The house believes the higher level of pinot noir will help protect from light strike, always an issue with clear glass. Pouring a deeper peach hue, this leads with strawberry brioche, and ample bread dough before a chalky and pithy tangerine brace tightens. Lovely toothsome autolysis on the suave palate, making this an easy solo sipper or welcome partner to protein canapés. A very smart bottling, though Taittinger doesn't provide details on base year / disgorge date, so challenging to repeat.Tasted: 02 July 2026Tasted by: Prices:
