Champagne Taittinger Prestige Rosé NV
Champagne, FranceThe Taittinger Rosé, a 30/20/50 mix of chardonnay, pinot meunier, and pinot noir selected from some 36 crus, is darker than most, perhaps a result of adding 15% still wine from Riceys and Montagne de Reims. The nose and attack are fruity, pitching a mix of cherries and raspberries with bright acidity and an undercurrent of sea breeze. The result is a delicious drinking, mostly dry affair that you can serve confidently before dinner or with lighter items on the menu.Tasted: 24 October 2023Tasted by: Prices:BC | $106.99 | 750ml | select private retailers |

Champagne Taittinger Prestige Rosé NV
Champagne, FranceThis deeper hued rosé is a blend of 30% chardonnay, 20% Pinot Meunier, and the remaining, pinot noir from 36 crus, including 15% still wine from Riceys and Montagne de Reims. Quite present and fruit forward, with smouldering wild cherry and raspberry driven with acidity through a lingering salinity on the finish. Really smart, this gobbles up the 9 g/L RS, leaving it feeling briskly dry. It's easy to see why this is their 2nd best selling cuvée, after their flagship Brut Reserve. Though the clear glass clearly shows the deep pink hue, one has to worry about lightstrike.Tasted: 24 October 2023Tasted by: Prices:BC | $106.99 | 750ml | select private retailers |

Champagne Taittinger Prestige Rosé NV
Champagne, FranceA portion of red wine, pinot noir from Montagne de Reims and Les Riceys, is blended with the white wine base to give this a slightly darker rosé hue. The final tally is 50/30/20 pinot noir, chardonnay, and pinot meunier, which is aged on its lees for three years. It's poised and elegant, combining toasty autolytic character with subdued, fresh pinot fruit: strawberry, cranberry, and red apple. The mousse is fine and silky, with some verve to the palate. The lighter style makes it perfect to sip on while you're preparing dinner.Tasted: 01 November 2020Tasted by: Prices:BC | $106.99 | 750ml | select private retailers |

Champagne, FranceTaittinger vinifies 85% of the blend as white wine, with the remainder vinified as red, to keep the elegant house style. The cuvée is 50/35/15 pinot noir, chardonnay, and pinot meunier from nearly 45 crus, including some reserve wines. Look for an elevated floral nose with notes of crushed raspberries and cherries that spills onto the palate. The acidity is Taittinger fresh despite some nine grams per litre dosage, leaving a smooth finish. Try this with a charcuterie plate or a favourite carpaccio dish.Tasted: 24 September 2019Tasted by: Prices:BC | $106.99 | 750ml | select private retailers |

Champagne Taittinger Prestige Rosé NV
Champagne, FranceThis deeper hued rosé is a blend of 50/35/15 pinot noir, chardonnay, and pinot meunier, from approximately 45 crus, and utilizing 15% still wine. Salted cherry brioche, raspberry, red currant, red apple is threaded with tight pink grapefruit acidity, and finishes with a light toasty spicing. The core is padded with meringue, countered with a riveting acidity that keeps all this red fruit aloft. A natural food wine, though also lovely solo.Tasted: 02 November 2019Tasted by: Prices:BC | $106.99 | 750ml | select private retailers |

Champagne Taittinger Prestige Rosé NV
Champagne, FranceTaittinger Rosé is a gently deeper pink hue, afforded by the 15 percent still pinot noir in the blend. The cuvée is 50/35/15 pinot noir, chardonnay, and pinot meunier from nearly 45 crus, including some reserve wines. Pretty florals, raspberry wrap around a pure strawberry core, one that runs the palate with a fine texture and brisk crunchy acidity. Nine g/l dosage, which is common across the house. Lovely freshness here, with evident pinot character, which is welcome. My bottle was based on the 2014 vintage, which is encoded in laser on the base of the bottle.Tasted: 15 October 2018Tasted by: Prices:BC | $106.99 | 750ml | select private retailers |

The cuvee is 50/30/20 pinot noir, chardonnay, and pinot meunier from 15 crus, including some some reserve wines. Crisp cherry, bright raspberry and strawberry notes, with a riff of pithy spice. Champagne, FranceTaittinger vinifies 85% of the blend as white wine, with the remainder vinified as red, to keep the elegant house style even in a rosé. The final cuvée is a mix of 15 crus plus some young reserve wines. Look for a crushed raspberry/cherry nose that carries through to the palate, coloured by that 15 percent still pinot noir added to the chardonnay base. Acidity is brisk and bright, and though the medium bodied palate is a bit coarse it should pair well with carpaccio or charcuterie. The grape mix is 50/30/20 pinot noir, chardonnay, and pinot meunier.Tasted: 10 December 2015Tasted by: Prices:BC | $106.99 | 750ml | select private retailers |
