Emilia-Romagna, ItalyThis one hundred percent sangiovese (di Romagna) has a lovely fragrant fruity nose with bits of pepper, tobacco and licorice. The attack is soft and juicy with blackberry, bitter cherry and plum notes that finishes dry with just a hint of French oak and balsamic for complexity. Serve with grilled chicken, braised beef cheek or a piece of Parmigiano-Reggiano.
