Hillside Cabernet Franc 2012

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaIt’s been six years since I lasted this wine and obviously much has happened at Hillside. Cabernet Franc is finding its feet in the Okanagan especially those heading in the floral, cranberry, spicy tea leaf direction. This is an elegant, juicy, mid-weight red with cherries and tea tannins and a touch of resin in the flavours. A stylish food wine for drinkers who are thinkers. Aged for three to five years or serve it now with grilled meats, domestic and wild, or rich mushroom dishes. The wine spends 13 months in new and used American oak barrels before the final blend.Tasted: 24 December 2015Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
