Domaine Drouhin Arthur Chardonnay 2013

Dundee Hills, Willamette Valley, Oregon, United StatesArthur, the chardonnay from Drouhin's Oregon operation (DDO) is always a pleasure to drink. You're tasting Dundee Hills fresh, pure and fragrant orchard fruit through a lens of Burgundy style and experience. The 2013 is no exception. Estate Dijon-clone grapes (some of the oldest in the state, planted in 1992) yield a complete blend of fresh pear, lemon, gentle apple blossom and crisp apple on the nose which carry through to the medium bodied palate. A sheen of fine, creamy lees on the palate supports the whole, seasoned with crystalline lemon pith, subtle earthiness, nutmeg, anise and well handled toast. Acidity is bright and ringing, and the finish lingering and crisp. Still very much in youth, this will reward with 3-5 years cellaring.Tasted: 05 December 2015Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
