Champagne, FranceGardet has been an active negoc in Champagne since 1895, and this is their mainstay wine. The predominant red grapes (90 percent equally split between pinots noir and meunier) are expressed through raspberry, strawberry brioche, toasty spice on a creamy, generously smooth, medium bodied palate. A puff of raspberry perfume lingers on the finely spiced finish. This spends 24-36 months on the lees, and has a dosage of 8 g/l.Tasted: 01 November 2018Tasted by: Prices:

Champagne, FranceThis negoc has been active since the beginning of the 20th century. This cuvee is a 45/45/10 pinot noir/pinot meunier/chardonnay, and the red fruits make themselves known with baked strawberry, raspberry jam and toast. A bit rough around the edges (in an authentic way), but quite creamy on the palate, with acidity pointed and angular though well integrated and edgy enough to make this work (and stand out). A natural with pastry-rich meat pies.Tasted: 09 December 2017Tasted by: Prices:

Champagne, FranceThe mix is a pinot heavy 45/45/10 pinot noir/pinot meunier/chardonnay that spends 24-36 months on the lees, with 20 percent reserve wines in the cuvée to plump up the palate. Creamy and full, with salted dough, lemon curd and brisk, assertive prickly lemon acidity lift the heft. A nice, brisk grip on the finish ties it all together. A solid, rounded wine, with immediate appeal that you can serve with richer protein dishes.Tasted: 05 December 2016Tasted by: Prices:

Champagne, FranceGardet’s mix is 45/45/10 pinot noir/pinot meunier/chardonnay that spends 36 months on its lees. About 20% reserve wine adds some structure here to a wine that opens with a mix of floral and herbaceous notes. The attack is creamy with a harmonious mix of yeasty toasted brioche notes and peachy fruit. Solid holiday workhorse Champagne. Excellent price.Tasted: 10 December 2015Tasted by: Prices:

Champagne, FranceThis blend of 45/45/10 pinot noir/pinot meunier/chardonnay opens with stone fruit and perfumed white florals which carry through to a firm, stony palate. Pithy lemon acids lift the fruit up to a little salty grip at the end, welcoming pairing with richer egg dishes and brunch. A rest of 36 months on lees and approximately 20 percent reserve wine plumps up this fizz nicely.Tasted: 10 December 2015Tasted by: Prices:
