Luján de Cuyo, Northern Region, Mendoza, ArgentinaThe Luján de Cuyo malbec is grown at 3251-3467 feet above sea level in semi desert conditions. Almost identical to the Uco the Luyán it spends 17 months in new oak 5% French and 27% American. The nose is broad and open with pepper, cloves and five-spice mixed with black fruit and licorice. The palate is identical with heavy, resiny black fruit notes with roast mushroom, tobacco, orange peel and savoury dried herb finish.
