Luigi Scavino Azelia Bricco Fiasco Barolo 2011
Piedmont, ItalyFrom the top of this steep and warm hill in Castiglione Falletto Bricco Fiasco was the first Cru vinified separately since 1978. The vines are now in their mid-60s yielding small amounts spectacular floral fruit. Perfumed is a great descriptor, with beautiful red fruits and mineral notes with a touch of tar and licorice and silky ripe tannins. Since 2004 a small part of this wine is aged in large casks yielding more fruit and spice. In 2011 the yields were small at 35 hl/ha. Just over 700 cases produced.Tasted: 03 November 2015Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $103.00 | 750ml | speculative listing - Liquid Art Selections |
