British Columbia, CanadaBlue Grouse is Cowichan Valley-based, on Vancouver Island, but this is a 52/34/14 blend of pinot blanc from Secrest Mountain Vineyards (Oliver), ortega estate grown in Duncan while the riesling comes from cool Kelowna. The style is spare with just enough fruit to keep the acidity in check and just enough acidity to keep the residual sugar dormant. Classic lime and apples with a pinch of yellow fruits.
