Serendipity Pinot Noir 2007

Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaSerendipity ages its pinot in older wood. The style is soft, the nose spicy with resiny, meaty, rhubarb, forest floor undertones and with a fairly dry mid-palate. There is a modicum of red fruits on the palate but the finish is dry and spicy. Needs a fatty duck dish to be at its best or a mushroom risotto. A slightly cleaner version going forward would be welcome. Good potential. Tasted: 25 September 2011Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
