Road 13 Seventy-Four K 2012
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaMerlot, syrah, viognier, malbec, cabernet franc and gamay noir from estate and leased vineyards in the Okanagan and Similkameen make up Seventy-Four K. Deep, brooding, highly extracted fruit nearly gets pulled down with sweetly spiced American and French oak, though is saved with a swell of tart acidity. Black cherry, blueberry, cassis jam and dark chocolate are supported by ripe, moderate tannins and finish with a lingering bitter espresso cut and the heat of alcohol. Best matched up with with saucy short ribs now or tame with a year in the cellar.Tasted: 28 October 2015Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:BC | $25.00 | 750ml | winery direct, VQA wine shops |
