Vinsobres, Côtes du Rhône Villages, Southern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceAmadieu’s Vinsobres comes off the northernmost and coolest vineyards in the Southern Rhône Valley. Les Piallats is a series of south facing slopes at some 380 metres on a mix of heavier sandy clay marl and lighter gravels. The blend is 60/40 grenache/syrah and it has a very fresh style not seen in most of the region. Red fruits and plums with a grind of pepper unleashed by old wood and concrete ageing mark the nose and palate of this delicious red.
