Pierre Amadieu Domaine Grand Reserve Côtes du Rhône Rouge 2012
Gigondas, Southern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceDeep red colour previews a smart fresh, peppery, meaty nose. The mix is syrah, grown on gravelly soil with grenache grown over clay and limestone. It ferments in stainless before spending half a year in old foudres. Look for raspberry and blackcurrant aromas with more mineral, red fruit flavours. Fine concentration, village quality? Drink now or age over the two to four years.Tasted: 15 October 2015Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $21.90 | 750ml | speculative listing - Evolution Fine Wines |
