Pomerol, Libourne, Bordeaux, FranceThis was the best wine of the pre-tasting once again making the case for more merlot in 2012. This wine was has all the attractive fleshy black fruit you expect from a Pomerol but with the poise and richness you should demand for $180. No need to open this for five years but if you do serve it with an oven roasted rare piece of beef. Excellent red. The finished blend is 80/20 merlot cabernet franc.
