Young & Wyse Collection Merlot 2012
Osoyoos, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaClassic south Okanagan nose of sagebrush, bay leaf and dried herbs with an undercurrent of cassis and spice. Similar flavours mark the palate with a resiny, oily, peppery, espresso-flecked mix of black fruit with a whack of alcohol. Not for the feint-hearted and really needs a big piece of protein to settled down the rustic edges.
