Poplar Grove Cabernet Franc 2012
Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaOpen fragrant fresh nose of smoky tobacco and black plums with mocha hints. The attack is round and soft with cherry, blackberry vanilla flavours, fine density and weight with a savoury, resin, soft back end. The wine spends about 21 months in 30% new French oak mixed with two and three year old barrels. You can drink it now but this will improve over the next five years in bottle.
