Mendoza, ArgentinaHeralded Argentine winemaker Roberto de La Mota consults on this project, a high altitude (1000m) malbec from Mendoza. French and American oak support the ripe, dark, fruit. Though the density here is undeniable, so is the lifted affect of altitude - the freshness propping up all the brooding black cherry, wild blackberry, black plum and undercurrent of tar. Heaps of salt prickle the palate, while ripe, sticky tannins ground it. Interest and complexity at a value price.Tasted: 29 September 2015Tasted by: Prices:
