United StatesYes, from New Mexico. Gruet was founded in 1984, and specializes in traditional method fizz, with roots dating back to the family's Champagne house in Bethon. This saignée rosé of pinot noir has 2 percent still pinot noir added for hue, and spent twenty four months on the lees. Fruity, bright, brisk and dry, with riffing cherry, red currant laying on a fine layer of lees. This prickles with acidity on the zesty finish. A big step up from the last time I tasted this two years ago.Tasted: 09 August 2017Tasted by: Prices:

United StatesStriking orange peach in hue, this New Mexican traditional method bubble has spent 24 months on sur lie, and opens with light pear, peach, apple aromas. Large frothy mousse on the dry palate, with red apple, beetroot, tomato leaf earthiness over a cherry berry base. Crisp, ripping acidity lifts this gutsy pinot noir bubble to a zesty finish, and welcomes pairing with pulled pork sandwiches or tuna steaks on the grill.Tasted: 02 September 2015Tasted by: Prices:
