Bisquertt Ecos de Rulo El Chequen Estate Marchihue Carmenere 2012

Valle de Marchigue, Valle del Colchagua, Valle del Rapel, Region del Valle Central, ChileThe Ecos carmenère comes of 15 year old vines in Marchigue that grow in a mix of alluvial and colluvial soils that mix clay and granite. It spends a year in French oak. Look for an enticing aromatic nose of plums and tobacco with just a perfect hint of spice. The texture is perfect, so silky with equally benign tannin. The palate is juicy creamy and ripe exposing the true side of carmenère that can make you a fan. Pair this with venison or lamb for a great dinner experience. The site is only 32 kilometers from the cold Pacific Ocean.Tasted: 29 September 2015Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
