McLaren Vale, South Australia, AustraliaG'Day new Australia. Nearly half of this fragrant, layered biodynamic wine is old bush vine grenache, planted in 1946 in Kangarilla, McLaren Vale. Wild ferment, nine months in old French oak and no fining ups the mouth-feel and complexities. Fresh, textured, lively and balanced, with fragrant ripe strawberry, cherries, perfumed anise, leather, and sweet savoury herbs. The medium bodied palate is lifted with graceful acidity and anchored with fine boned, lightly powdery tannins. White and black pepper lingers on the finish, drawing you back for another glass. A wine of finesse to pour with herb roasted chicken.Tasted: 11 August 2015Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:BC | $29.00 | 750ml | BCLS |
