Gérard Bertrand Terroir Minervois 2011
Minervois, Languedoc, Sud de France, FranceA 20 degree Celsius diurnal shift keeps the freshness of syrah up in the arid and dry Minervois region, a vast sloping limestone and stony amphitheatre up against the Black Mountain. Scented black florals, tar, charcoal and cured meats lure to the dense and complexed anise-scented black fruit of the heady palate. Striking freshness lifts the density across very fine grained, structured tannins to a lingering finish. Lost some of its youthful punchiness and drinking very well now, especially with baby lamb.Tasted: 27 August 2015Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:BC | $25.00 | 750ml | private wine shops |
