Backyard Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon 2012
British Columbia, CanadaA nice jump up in ripeness from the 2010 it opens with a peppery tobacco leaf nose with cassis and rich, red fruit aromas. The attack is juicy if a touch astringent with more plums and berries, spice and fresh acidity. Still youthful and robust in a cabernet way but give it some time in the bottle or better yet grill a steak and taste pair up with some meat.
