Anarchist Mountain Vineyards Elevation Chardonnay 2013
Osoyoos, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaEasily the best yet from Anarchist Mountain, blazing a path to where we need to go in chardonnay. After a stainless steel ferment a second new barrel of French oak (a tighter grain and different flavour profile) was added to the six barrel fold. A blessing in disguise was a malolactic fermentation that didn’t complete thus halting the creamy, softening process. The nose is a mix of lemons and pears with more of that toasted hazelnut character and light lees. The palate is richer than the 2012 with a more intense citrus butter and peachy stone fruit notes. Made at Meyer Family Vineyards in Okanagan Falls.Tasted: 26 August 2015Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $26.00 | 750ml | winery direct |
