Unsworth Vineyards Charme De L'ile NV

Cowichan Valley, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, CanadaCharme de L'ile is a style of sparkling wine that a few island winemakers have adopted, branded, and promoted as a distinctly Wine Islands wine made using the Charmat method. At Unsworth, the lightly effervescent wine, with impressively small bubbles, boasts a blend that has evolved over the years and now leads with sauvignette, followed by pinot gris with a touch of pinot noir. The latest version is crisper and leaner, with a lower alcohol level of 11.5˚ than earlier versions, all of which makes it much more attractive as a food wine. The lees, fresh cut apple, and pear skin notes intoxicate. Ready to drink and mostly dry at 8 grams per litre residual. Well done.Tasted: 21 April 2026Tasted by: Prices:
