Taylor's, like others, blends its old tawny Ports from extensive reserves of old cask aged Ports matured in its deep, cool and tranquil cellars. It seems 20 years is just about right. Still youthful, still fruity but with those powerful nutty aromas that come with age. The attack is fresh but smooth mixing coffee/vanilla, orange rind, cinnamon and nuts as it spills onto your palate. Mouth and sense-filling it’s an extraordinary wine experience.
